DESCRIPTION

The very first media interview with Gulen was published on 18 November 1991. Speaking from the pulpit since the 1950s, Gulen began expressing his thoughts concerning current issues debated in Turkey in interviews published in newspapers and magazines and broadcast on television, both in the country and abroad.

When Gulen said, “There is no return from democracy,” the year was 1994.

When he said, “The State lacks a serious plan regarding the Kurdish issue,” it was 1993.

He said the words, “A Muslim cannot be a terrorist and a terrorist cannot be a Muslim. A person cannot go to heaven by killing a person,” in 2001.

It was 1997 when he said, “The politicization of religion is dangerous, but it is much more dangerous for religion than it is for the regime, as it means sullying the spirit of religion. For religion is the religion of everyone.”

This book invites the reader to a journey through the horizons of all that Gulen has said in relation to these issues for twenty-four years.
